Safaricom revenues up 5.8% to KES 130 bln in H1

Friday 1 November 2019 | 10:14 CET | News
Kenyan operator Safaricom's consolidated revenue increased by 5.8 percent to KES 129.9 billion in the first six months to 30 September from KES 122.83 in the same period of 2018. The operator adopted new accounting policies and methods of computation. It said the revenues were driven by robust performance by M-Pesa and fixed data and strong customer growth, offsetting a decline in traditional revenue streams and soft performance from mobile data.
