Samsung Electronics has sent out invites to the press for one of its 'Unpacked' events on 09 August in New York, when the company is widely expected to unveil the latest generation of its Note smartphone series. The previous model, the Galaxy Note 8, was unveiled in August last year and went on sale in September.
The Note is part of Samsung's premium range, offering a larger screen than the Galaxy S series and a stylus pen for writing and drawing the screen. The phone is key to the company's year-end sales drive ahead of the holidays. Apple and Google are expected to unveil their newest smartphone models later in the autumn.
