Samsung, Nestle to jointly develop digital health platform

Nestle Institute of Health Sciences has signed a partnership agreement with Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center (SSIC). Samsung and Nestle will combine IoT and nutrition science to create insights for healthy living. The partnership will blend IoT, scientifically validated bio sensors, multi-modal technology, and nutritional approach to provide customers with new awareness into health and wellness. In addition, the collaboration aims to empower individuals to manage their own health and wellbeing by providing relevant and contextual recommendations around nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness.

The collaboration combines the Samsung Arktik IoT platform vision, semiconductor expertise, and a global platform of smart device services, together with Nestle’s expertise in nutrition and biomedical science.

Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center and Nestle Institute of Health Sciences will work to develop a new digital health platform to provide insights for healthy living. Details about the platform are expected to be released when the first pilots start in early 2017.
