Samsung Electronics has sold over 5 million units of its Galaxy S2 smartphone in about three months since its debut. The Galaxy S sequel, which is at the centre of Samsung's smartphone push this year, was launched in South Korea on 29 April and the following month in Japan and Europe. The smartphone reached the sales milestone in 85 days, 40 less than it took its predecessor. Samsung expects sales to accelerate as it launches the handset in China.
