Samsung still banned from selling tablets in Germany
The Duesseldorf Court of Appeals has ruled that Samsung cannot resume sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 nor the Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablets in Germany. The ruling is part of a continued patent dispute between Samsung and Apple, with Apple looking to block the sale of Samsung tablet PCs in Germany and Europe. Samsung earlier launched adapted versions of the tablets in an attempt to avoid the ban while it awaited the result of an appeal.

Apple's latest lawsuit against Samsung Electronics, set for a hearing 02 May, increases the number of Samsung devices that Apple argues infringe its products, Bloomberg reports. German court says Samsung can sell modified tablet PC

The State Court in Duesseldorf has ruled that Samsung can sell its modified tablet PC in Germany, reports Reuters. Samsung modified the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for the German market, renaming the device the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, to get around a sale ban ordered by a court in September 2011. Apple then challenged this new version. However, the court ruled that there were 'clear differences' between the Samsung device and the iPad.

Samsung adapts Galaxy Tab again to avoid Apple injunction

Samsung will launch the new Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus N in Germany in mid-February as part of attempts to avoid the sales ban in Germany obtained by Apple in a court order. In September 2011, Samsung had to remove the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from its stand at the IFA electronics fair in Berlin after losing a case brought by Apple. Samsung pulled its new 7.7-inch Galaxy Tab devices from German consumer electronics show Ifa taking in place in Berlin after a German court accepted Apple's request to ban sales and marketing of Samsung's new tablet device there.
