
The device features a 2-inch curved Amoled display, a customisable screen display with a range of widgets, navigation provided by Nokia's Here, a news service from The Financial Times and the ability to see and respond to social notifications instantly with Facebook. The Samsung Gear S also includes multi-sensors and built-in GPS to help track a range of health and fitness functions.
Samsung also announced the new Samsung Gear Circle, a new connected headset. When paired with a smartphone, users can receive calls, listen to music, and make voice commands through a Bluetooth connection. It features a magnetic lock which clasps around the user’s neck when not in use, as well as a vibrate function to signal incoming calls and notifications.
Both the Samsung Gear S and the Gear Circle will be available in global markets beginning October.
