Samsung unveils mini version of Galaxy S3
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its Galaxy S3 mini smartphone, a compact version of the Galaxy S3 device. The 4-inch smartphone is powered by Android Jelly Bean OS, and features a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display, dual-core processor and S Voice language recognition software. Direct Call feature enables users to automatically dial a call by lifting the phone to ear and Smart Alert alerts missed calls or messages as soon as a user picks up the phone.

Samsung to offer 'mini' Galaxy S3 smartphone in Europe

Samsung is set to launch a mini version of the Galaxy S3 smartphone with a 4-in display in Europe as it looks to compete with iPhone 5, reports The Guardian. The Galaxy S3, launched in late-May, has a 4.8-in display. JK Shin, head of mobile communications for Samsung, said at a press conference in Seoul that there was a lot of demand for a 4-in display device in Europe.

Samsung may launch mini Galaxy S3 handset - report

Samsung Electronics is preparing to unveil a cheaper version of its Galaxy S3 smartphone, writes Korea JoongAng Daily citing reports from from overseas media. CNET said that Samsung has officially invited overseas journalists to an event in Germany on 11 October. Samsung's German office is set to host the event at one of its mobile stores in Frankfurt, and the new device will probably be launched in Europe first, CNET said.
