SAP considers sale of interconnect business - report

SAP is considering the sale of its Digital Interconnect business, Bloomberg reports citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. Acquired as part of the Sybase takeover, the division helps telecom operators route calls and SMS across networks and coordinate billing. The company has already been speaking with potential buyers, according to the report

The business generates up to USD 50 million in annual EBITDA and about USD 250 million in revenue. It could be valued at several hundred million dollars, according to the report. However, SAP has not made a definitive decision on whether to sell the business or not, but a sale would be in line with its strategy to focus on cloud products and integrating acquisitions.
