Altice is exploring new ways to fund the FTTH deployment plans of its SFR business in France, according to information gathered by Le Figaro from unnamed sources. The company has reportedly instructed asset management firm Lazard to look for partners willing to invest in a new venture (‘SFR FTTH’), which would be tasked to meet the operator’s deployment commitments, particularly the roll-out plans covered by the so-called AMII agreement. The negotiations, expected to be complex and protracted, fit into Altice’s objective to keep a lid on expenditure and improve its balance sheet.
