Singtel launches all-digital, no-contract mobile service Gomo
Singtel has introduced Gomo, an all-digital mobile product, which mainly targets digital natives and millennials. Gomo provides immediate digital mobile sign-up and same day SIM card delivery, a dedicated Care app and 24/7 live chat for customer service enquires, as well as data allowances and lifestyle benefits. For SGD 20 per month, the Gomo Mobile package includes 20GB of data, 200 minutes talktime, 200 SMS and free Caller ID. 

The no-contract plan works on a 30-day payment cycle and customers can link their debit or credit card for monthly payments and make instant purchases whenever additional data, text or minutes are required. Gomo Mobile customers will be able to access exclusive dining offers, such as 1-for-1 discounts at selected hipster restaurants and cafes. These lifestyle rewards will be expanded to include ride-hailing, entertainment events and activities, and travel-related promotions.

Customers who sign up for a Gomo Mobile SIM by 30 April will receive a bonus Gomo Travel SIM worth SGD 20. The multi-destination Gomo Travel SIM provides 3GB of data for 10 days across eight destinations, namely Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.

Gomo Mobile can be purchased online at the gomo website. The plan is available to everyone in Singapore and there are no additional charges or deposits required for Work Permit or S Pass holders, Singtel said.

Singtel TV is seeking talented local content creators and production houses to produce up to 20 hours of original short-form content in Chinese, in an initiative supported by Infocomm Media Development Authority's (IMDA) Public Service Broadcast Contestable Funds Scheme (PCFS). Singtel TV invites local production companies to submit their interest to participate in the project.

SK Telecom, Singtel to partner on OTT services – report

South Korean operator SK Telecom and Singapore's Singtel are in talks to jointly invest in their over-the-top (OTT) subsidiaries, Yonhap news agency reports, citing unnamed industry sources in Seoul. The partnership would enable Singtel to invest in SK Telecom's OTT video platform Oksusu and Pooq, which offer programs from terrestrial TV channels. On its part, SK Telecom would invest in Singtel's HOOQ.

Singapore operator Singtel has introduced three XO postpaid mobile plans which are bundled with entertainment content. These new XO plans combine large data allowances with handset discounts. XO plans also include a HBO GO subscription to provide customers with video entertainment content.
