Skype delays IPO to H2 - report

Skype is delaying its IPO to the second half of this year, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. The company's recent hiring of a new chief executive and uncertainties in the IPO market and economy have slowed the offering process, according to the paper's sources. The earliest Skype would go public is July, one person said. Skype filed for an IPO last August, and CEO Tony Bates was named in October. The company is expected to raise up to USD 1 billion in the share offering.
