Slim seen as frontrunner for purchase of Telekom Srbija
Carlos Slim and Arab telecommunications operators are seen as the frontrunners for the purchase of Telekom Srbija, according to Serbian daily Vecernje Novosti. Serbian officials have said that 100 percent of the company could be sold for EUR 2.5 billion and, in this case, the Serbian state could get EUR 1.95 billion for its 78.11 percent stake. Market expert Nenad Gujanicic told the paper that a more realistic price for Telekom Srbija could be between EUR 1.5 billion to EUR 2 billion.

Serbians could get EUR 60 each from Telekom Srbija sale

If the Serbian government succeeds in selling Telekom Srbija for EUR 2 billion and imposes the condition that buyers purchase shares that have been distributed to the public and staff free of charge, then citizens could get about EUR 60 for their shares, writes local daily Blic. Mt:s launches post-paid promotion with Banca Intesa

Telekom Srbija's mobile unit mt:s has announced a special promotion for customers of its online store, in partnership with Banca Intesa. Until 10 July, customers using a Banca Intesa card (Visa, MasterCard or Maestro) to purchase a post-paid package with a telephone worth over RSD 1,500 included, will get a RSD 1,000 bonus. This bonus can be used for calls, SMS and data traffic in the mt:s network until 10 August.

The Slovakia government could find several potential buyers interested in its 49 percent stake in Slovak Telekom, reports Slovak economic daily HN. Carlos Slim ups stake in America Movil

Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has increased his stake in his mobile operator America Movil, Reuters report, citing a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Slim's stake in America Movil increased to nearly 31 percent in March, including shares held through a trust for the family as well as other shares held by two of his other companies, according to Reuters' calculations.
