
The Slovak Republic's Telecommunications Office starts tender proceedings to assign a block of frequencies for a mobile communications network. The licence in the 872-876 MHz/912-921 MHz frequency band will be valid for a period of 20 years. The minimum criteria for the frequency allocation is a one-time SKK 30 million payment. The Telecommunications Office accepts application forms and the offers until 29 April. Slovakia currently has three mobile operators: T-Mobile, Orange and the recent entrant Telefonica O2.
