The Slovenian government has extended the deadline for submitting binding bids for Telekom Slovenije until 4 January. The government has already shortlisted seven candidates for the bidding, which had been expected to end in early December. The economy ministry decided to revise the sale contract details, which should be finalised by 11 December, reports the Slovene Press Agency STA. Several of the bidders had also asked for the deadline to be extended, the ministry said. The seven companies in the running for the 49.13 percent stake in Telekom Slovenija are a consortium of Bain Capital and Axos Capital, private equity funds CEP III/Carlyle, Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom, Macquarie Bank, Magyar Telekom, Oger Telecom and Skipti.
