
SoftBank to discontinue Otoku Line copper service from 2030

SoftBank announced that after 31 March 2030, its "Otoku Line" fixed-line telephone service will be discontinued. From 31 March 2026, SoftBank will no longer accept new applications. The operator began providing Otoku Line in 2004 as a fixed-line telephone service that utilises the dry copper wires and dark fibres of NTT East and NTT West and the service has since been used by many customers.
