Spanish pay-TV and internet company Sogecable signed a seven and a half-year syndicated loan for EUR 1.35 billion, Reuters reported. The loan would finance its integration with Telefonica's unit Via Digital after a recent merger and the launch of pay-TV platform Digital+. Sogecable, with a market value of EUR 2.4 billion, already has a heavy debt burden. Under the terms of the merger, Sogecable and partner Via Digital were allowed to bring to the new firm debt of EUR 705 million and EUR 425 million respectively.
