Sonatel posts 7.6% EBITDA growth in 2020, despite lower revenues in Senegal

Monday 1 March 2021 | 12:40 CET | News
Sonatel generated full-year EBITDAaL of XOF 519 billion, representing an annual rise of 7.6 percent (+4.2 % in 2019). This progression was mainly driven by control of operational costs, said the company, helped by its transformation programme in Senegal and action plans to counter the impact of the pandemic across its African footprint. Growth in group revenues eased to 2.3 percent, from 6.3 percent a year earlier, reflecting a difficult environment in Senegal, as well as Guinea Bissau.
