Sony Ericsson hopes to raise sales by 25% in 2003 in Spain
Sony Ericsson hopes to raise its turnover in Spain by 25% to EUR 200 million and its market share to 12% in 2003, according to industry sources cited by 5Dias. The company achieved a 10.8% Spanish market share in July 2003, placing it third behind Nokia and Siemens, according to Miguel Rubio, marketing director. Sony Ericsson has an 8.5% market share to date in 2003. The company plans several product launches. It expects that 11 million handsets will be sold in Spain in 2003, up by 800,000 units compared to 2002.
