Sony, Ericsson in talks to end joint venture - report
Sony is in talks with Ericsson to dissolve the companies' handset joint venture, Sony Ericsson, the Nikkei reports citing sources familiar with the talks. Sony is seeking to take the shares in Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications and develop handsets of its own. The joint venture was established in 2001 and has a global market share of around 5 percent.
