Sony Ericsson said it plans to manufacture mobile phones in Brazil to supply the country's fast-growing market and use the nation as a base of operations for exports to the rest of South America. The phones will be produced at a factory operated by Flextronics International in the city of Sorocaba in southeast Brazil, a company spokeswoman said to Reuters.
