Sony introduces entry-level Xperia smartphones
Sony Mobile announced the launch of two new entry-level smartphones in the third quarter. The Xperia miro and Xperia Tipo run Android 4.0 and 800MHz Qualcomm processors and will come in a range of colours. The UMTS phones also feature 1500mAh batteries, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and Bluetooth. The Xperia miro is targeted at young people, offering deep Facebook integration and Sony's xLOUD audio technology for listening to music, as well as the Music Unlimited service from Sony Entertainment Network pre-installed. The Xperia miro features a 3.5-inch display, 5MP camera with video recording at 30fps and DLNA. The Xperia tipo is a dual-Sim handset and comes with a 3.2-inch display and 3.2MP camera. Aimed at first-time smartphone users, it also features a dedicated start-up guide and application for monitoring data use.
