Sony unveils Xperia Z tablet in Japan
Sony has unveiled the Xperia Z tablet for the Japanese market. The tablet features a 10.1-inch screen, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, NFC and an 8 megapixel camera. It comes in a rugged casing just 6.9mm thick and weighs just under half a kilo. The device runs Android 4.1 and supports LTE connectivity. It will be available in black or white, from this spring.

Sony expects to start shipping the Xperia Tablet Z in Europe in the middle of April, reports xperiablog.net. When adding the tablet to the shopping basket at the Sony Store UK website, the blog now sees an expected delivery date of 28-29 May, when it indicated the middle of April when it checked last week. Sony to sell Xperia Tablet Z worldwide from spring

Sony announced that its Xperia Tablet Z, announced last month with NTT Docomo, will be available globally from this spring. The 10.1-inch Android tablet is on display at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona alongside Sony's flagship Xperia Z smartphone, which is now available in over 60 countries. At MWC, Sony Mobile also unveiled its new integrated marketing campaign for its Xperia smartphones. The campaign will be deployed in more than 20 markets across TV, print, digital, out of home and retail channel

Sony offers PlayStation Mobile Developer Programme in China

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has announced that it is now offering the PlayStation Mobile Developer Programme which includes the official version of PlayStation Mobile SDK in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The programme enables developers to distribute their content through the PlayStation Store globally on a commercial basis and market their games to dedicated gamers with PlayStation Certified devices and PlayStation Vita. The license agreement fee is HK 800 for Hong Kong and NT 3000 for Taiwan annually.

Sony unveils new flagship Xperia smartphone, tablet at Ifa

Sony Mobile unveiled a new flagship smartphone and its first tablet at the Ifa consumer electronics show in Berlin. The Sony Xperia T smartphone will launch globally in the next few weeks and feature in the upcoming James Bond film 'Skyfall'.
