Spain's Adamo closes EUR 250 mln funding to reach 1.5 mln underserved homes

Spanish broadband provider Adamo has secured EUR 250 million in a fresh funding round led by banks including BBVA, ING and Investec to continue expanding its FTTH network. In a statement, the company backed Swedish private equity group EQT said it intends to use the funds to pay back a previous EUR 100 million loan from last year and to accelerate plans to bring gigabit fibre-optic services to 1.5 million homes in digital divide areas by the end of this year.
