Leading satellite broadcast provider GlobeCast announced that David Sprechman has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of GlobeCast America, according to GlobeCast Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christian Pinon.
GlobeCast - a subsidiary of France Telecom - is the world's largest provider of satellite transmission and production services for professional broadcast, enterprise multimedia and Internet content delivery.
As CEO of GlobeCast America, David Sprechman will be responsible for overall direction and management of GlobeCast North and Latin American operations, based at GlobeCast America headquarters in Miami. Robert Behar will remain with GlobeCast as company President and will support strategic issues on a global basis.
Sprechman joined GlobeCast in 1998, as the company's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for managing nationwide operations, capital expenditures and financial management. Previously, Sprechman was Chief Financial Officer of Hero Productions (1993 to 1998) and Vice President, Finance and Administration of Telemundo Productions (1990-1993).
