T-Mobile US takes USD 10 off Home Internet price

T-Mobile US will take USD 10 off every month for Home Internet customers as part of “The Big Fee Deal” (BFD) initiative. The company said the move is “to make up for all those fees created by the landline ISPs,” such as installation, activation modem rental, overage penalty or disconnect fees, for example.

The operator said the BFD means Home Internet customers can get their service for USD 50 instead of USD 60 per month. The company has been offering a USD 10 per month discount to newly connected customers, for a limited time.

T-Mobile US has started an offer in New York City for home internet over fibre, according to the T-Mo Report website. The offering has been launched quietly, with a website shared directly to potential customers in the area, namely certain residential buildings in Manhattan. The Verge said the provider confirmed the report, adding only that the programme is a very limited pilot and that more information would be shared when and if it becomes more widely available.

T-Mobile US announced the next stage in its plan to grow its business market share, with the launch of new mobile and fixed-wireless broadband plans for small businesses. The plans are available from 01 June, when the company will kick off a marketing campaign with 'Shark Tank' star Daymond John. The operator also is partnering with Facebook to offer small business customers credit for online advertising.
