T-Systems launches PoP and Business Unit in Paris
Reinforcing its presence in a key European market, T-Systems carriers’ carrier division, International Carrier Sales and Solutions (ICSS), has launched a Point of Presence (PoP) and local business unit (LBU) in Paris. The Paris PoP ensures reliable and high-quality transmission of voice and data, via T-Systems’ worldwide backbone, the Telekom Global Net. ”The French PoP reflects T-Systems’ strategy of expanding global coverage, based on our customers’ needs,” explains Francis Wong, Executive Vice President, responsible for Western Europe and Africa, T-Systems, ICSS. The new PoP will lead to significant cost savings for French-based telecommunications and data providers by allowing them to exploit T-Systems’ international network. It also means extended reach for existing international customers into the region. Potential customers include new market entrants, fixed and mobile carriers, international resellers and Internet service providers. Serving global, regional and local clients in France, ICSS’ new Local business unit in France is led by Dung Babet, Director T-Systems France, ICSS. T-Systems provides carriers’ carrier products and services to approximately 900 licensed network operators and international carriers in over 140 countries.
