Telcel and Altan Redes rule out bidding for 2.5 GHz spectrum

Friday 27 April 2018 | 09:23 CET | News
Mexican mobile operator Telcel (America Movil) has joined the Altan Redes consortium in confirming that it won't be taking part in the forthcoming tender for spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band. The company's CEO Daniel Hajj told local daily El Universal that the company has decided not participate in the bidding process for the 2.5 GHz spectrum offered by the Mexican government after having already acquired spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band last year and in view of the unfair conditions of the tender.
