Tele Columbus CEO will not extend contract beyond August 2020

German cable operator Tele Columbus has announced that CEO Timm Degenhardt will not extend his contract when it ends on 31 August 2020. Degenhardt has taken the decision following changes in the composition of the supervisory board. 

Tele Columbus had elected six new supervisory board members at the annual general meeting, pressured by its largest shareholder, United Internet. The supervisory board has accepted Degenhardt's request. He joined Tele Columbus in September 2017 as a member of the executive board and took over the position of CEO in January 2018.

Tele Columbus said it has extended a contract with Wohnungsgesellschaft Schwerin to supply 10,723 apartments with improved network capacity. German cable operator Tele Columbus has announced that it has postponed its Annual General Meeting scheduled on 28 May in Berlin. The Annual General Meeting will take place by the end of the current financial year, according to the stock corporation law.

Tele Columbus appoints Daniel Ritz as new CEO

He will step down as CEO on 31 January, but remain a member of the management board until 31 March. Eike Walters remains CFO of the group and member of the management board to guarantee continuity in the finance department.

Tele Columbus elects six new supervisory board members at AGM

German cable network operator Tele Columbus said that six new supervisory board members were elected at the annual general meeting. Major shareholder United Internet said in a statement that it has welcomed the decision taken at the AGM, adding that the "vast majority of shareholders" want a new start in the supervisory board in a "crucial phase for the company".

United Internet meets with Tele Columbus on proposed board changes

United Internet announced that it has met with the chairmen of Tele Columbus to discuss its proposals for the AGM on 29 August, including the planned election of the supervisory board. This follows its proposal in May for a new board following poor results at the German cable operator. United Internet said it asked Tele Columbus to publish its interim results earlier.

Tele Columbus announced that its chairman of the supervisory board member Frank Donck will resign on 02 April. The mandate of Donck as chairman would have ended with the shareholders meeting of Tele Columbus this year. The company is currently looking for a new chairman.

German cable operator Tele Columbus announced that Frank Krause and Volker Ruloff have resigned from the supervisory board at their own request per 3 October. Both were appointed just over a year ago at the AGM in June 2017.
