Tele2 Estonia upgrades network for 300 Mbps
Mobile operator Tele2 Estonia has started a project to upgrade its LTE mobile network to reach speeds of 300 Mbps. The project is planned to be completed this year. The new network will enable end-users to access services over Cat 5-level smartphones and other end-user devices. Such devices are not yet available on the market, but the operator expects they will be available for sale by the end of this year or early 2015.

Revenues of the mobile operator Tele2 Estonia decreased from SEK 95 million to SEK 91 million year-on-year in Q1. EBITDA dropped from SEK 35 million to SEK 33 million. Tele2 Estonia drops dial-up internet

Mobile operator Tele2 Estonia has announced that it has stopped providing dial-up internet services as of April. The service has been stopped because of low demand. Tele2 offers mobile and wireless internet services, as well as M2M services as an alternative.

120 manufacturers announce 1,240 LTE-enabled user devices

120 manufacturers have announced 1,240 LTE-enabled user devices, including frequency and carrier variants, according to a report published by the GSA (Global mobile Suppliers Association). 680 new LTE user devices were announced in the past year.
