Tele2 Netherlands gets new CEO from Com Hem
Tele2 has named Jon James the new CEO of its Dutch operations. He replaces Malin Holmberg, who has held the position since April 2016. James comes from Swedish operator Com Hem, where he worked as COO, and was previously at Virgin Media in the UK.

James starts on 06 March, while Holmberg will remain on as adviser until the end of June. She has worked at Tele2 for over eight years, previously at the Croatia operation. The company did not say where she would continue her career.

The appointment comes as Tele2 has completed its roll-out as the Netherlands' fourth mobile network operator. The hiring of a cable expert suggests the company is preparing to re-invigorate its fixed operations and possibly enter the quad-play market. With the recent merger of Vodafone Netherlands and cable operator Ziggo and T-Mobile's re-entry on the fixed market, Tele2 will face growing competition in the market for bundled service packages.
