Tele2 Netherlands to launch 4G network in 2014

Tele2 Netherlands will delay the launch of 4G services "by a few quarters," a company spokesperson told Telecompaper, declining to give a more specific date. The launch had earlier been set for 2013, after the company won mobile spectrum in an auction in late 2012. The operator made a strategic decision to not be first-to-market but instead ensure good quality and user experience. The company is currently scoping out locations for the construction of a mobile network in the 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands.
