Telecom Argentina CEO Moltini to step down
Telecom Argentina has announced that Carlo Moltini will step down as chief executive on 31 December to take on a new role “focusing on the company’s strategic plans”. Moltini was Cablevision’s CEO ahead of its merger with Telecom Argentina and was appointed as chief executive of the merged entity in November 2017.

At the same time, Telecom Argentina’s executive committee has recommended that the board of directors appoint Roberto Nobile, the company's current deputy general manager, as the new CEO starting 01 January 2020. Nobile spent a decade at Cablevision before being appointed Telecom Argentina COO in 2016. He has also held positions at Arthur Andersen (now E&Y), Honeywell and Grupo Clarin, said the company in a statement.

The fully virtualised WING infrastructure, offered as a managed service, will allow the operator's corporate customers to launch IoT services in Argentina and across Latin America with a view to improving their customer experience, said Nokia.

Telecom Argentina has announced that Roberto Nobile begun his stint as the company's new chief executive on 01 January, replacing Carlo Moltini, who revealed he was stepping down in October. Previously deputy general manager of Telecom Argentina, Nobile spent a decade at Cablevision before being appointed Telecom Argentina COO in 2016. He has also held positions at Arthur Andersen (now E&Y), Honeywell and Grupo Clarin.

Telecom Argentina H1 revenues fall 11.5%, grows customer base in Q2

Telecom Argentina reported first-half revenues down 11.5 percent year-on-year to ARS 94.8 billion after adjusting for inflation. The company said it managed to increase billing at a faster rate than inflation late in the period, due to customer demand for higher value services and despite the challenging economic climate.

Telecom Argentina-Cablevision Q1 revenues down 9% to ARS 44 bln

Telecom Argentina and cable TV provider Cablevision reported consolidated first-quarter revenues of ARS 44.3 billion, down 9.0 percent year on year on an inflation-adjusted basis following their merger. In a statement, Telecom Argentina-Cablevision said the decrease was due to declining mobile service, internet and cable TV revenues, partly offset by higher fixed telephony and data revenues. Operating income was down 54.8 percent year on year to ARS 4.5 billion.

Argentina's Cablevision Holding posts Q1 sales of ARS 30.7 bln

Cablevision Holding (CVH), the new company spun off from Argentine media giant Clarin following the merger of Telecom Argentina and Cablevision reported first quarter revenues of ARS 30.70 billion, mainly driven by mobile, internet and cable TV services, with EBITDA coming in at ARS 11.78 billion and the EBITDA margin reaching 38.4 percent in its first limited results statement. Net profit amounted to ARS 2.35 billion.

Cablevision, Telecom Argentina merger takes effect

Argentina's Cablevision and Telecom Argentina announced that their merger has become effective. Cablevision told the local stock market that it executed the transfer of its operations to the merger company, after all conditions of the merger agreement from October 2017 were met. Under the new arrangement, Cablevision is the controlling shareholder of Telecom Argentina.

Cablevision's Moltini named new Telecom Argentina CEO

Telecom Argentina has announced the appointment of current Cablevision chief executive Carlos Moltini as its new CEO. The appointment forms part of the proposed merger of the two companies announced in July but yet to receive regulatory approval. Current Telecom Argentina CEO German Vidal is stepping down immediately to take on a new role within the company, said the operator in a statement to the Buenos Aires stock exchange.
