Telecom Egypt signs mobile network deal with Etisalat
Telecom Egypt (TE) announced a five-year agreement to use the network of Etisalat Misr to start providing mobile services. The national roaming with Etisalat covers 2G, 3G and 4G mobile services as well as international voice services. 

Telecom Egypt was awarded a mobile operator licence last year. It's also signed a roaming agreement with Orange Egypt. TE is expected to start offering mobile services from September.

Telcom Egypt pays USD 48 mln to settle dispute with Etisalat Egypt

Telecom Egypt (TE) has announced that it has reached a final settlement agreement with Etisalat Egypt regarding a dispute over international calls services. As per the agreement, TE will pay USD 48 million to Etisalat Egypt to alleviate an estimated potential risk of more than USD 100 million. The company pointed out that this agreement comes within the framework of its policy to settle all its disputes with the other mobile operators.

Telecom Egypt signs 2 commercial deals with Etisalat Misr

Telecom Egypt said it has signed the two agreements for national roaming and international voice services with Etisalat Misr, which will provide TE's mobile business with 2G, 3G and 4G mobile services through national roaming over Etisalat's existing network. It will also provide International Voice Services through the international gates of TE.

Telecom Egypt agrees national roaming with Orange

Telecom Egypt announced an agreement with Orange Egypt to offer 2G and 3G mobile services through its network. Telecom Egypt, the state's fixed-line monopoly, agreed last year to buy a 4G licence for EGP 7.08 billion to enter the mobile market directly for the first time. The company still holds a minority stake in Vodafone Egypt as well.

Telecom Egypt negotiates voice services with mobile operator

The mobile phone companies have offered their voice services for use by Telecom Egypt (TE) and they will be phased in once agreements are reached, the Daily News reported citing sources. TE is to offer mobile services in 2017 and the mobile operators are currently negotiating a schedule with TE. The sources added that the mobile operators have asked for TE's plan for geographical expansion, in order to determine the phases necessary, and will work to establish new towers and stations to accommodate the incr

Telecom Egypt signs 4G licence deal to enter mobile market

Telecom Egypt announced that it signed the final mobile licence agreement with the Egyptian National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) on 31 August. This will allow the fixed operator to establish, operate and manage its own 4G network to offer mobile services in the market.
