Telecom Italia CEO to leave after merger with TIM
The chief executive of Telecom Italia (head of the Mobile Business Unit), Marco De Benedetti, is leaving his post to become a consultant, according to Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore. This change will happen, according to the paper, as part of a reorganisation of the top management following the merger of quoted Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) with its parent Telecom Italia earlier this year. The paper also said the reorganisation should be announced in 10 days time, and could see a split between Mediterranean and Latin American operations.
