Italian mobile market adds 400,000 lines in 2012
Mobile telephony traffic in Italy grew by 3.8 percent year-on-year to over 137 billion minutes in fourth quarter of 2012, while the number of SMS surpassed 96 billion, up 7.5 percent, according to the quarterly report from regulator AgCom. The number of Sim cards increased by 400,000 over the year, as a loss of 307,000 consumer lines was offset by around 700,000 new business Sims. The number of prepaid Sim cards dropped by 1.55 million, while postpaid subscriptions grew by 2 million. TIM saw its share drop
