Telecom NZ launches Ultra VDSL services

Telecom New Zealand has introduced "Ultra VDSL" to customers. The service is available to almost two-thirds of homes and businesses, the company says. Plans start at NZD 95 per month for an 80 GB plan while the largest data plan with 500 GB is priced at NZD 129 per month. Installation by a technician costs NZD 99 for consumers while businesses can access VDSL at the same price as standard business ADSL plans with a NZD 199 installation fee. Telecom says it views VDSL as a stepping stone to fibre and will ensure Ultra VDSL customers have the flexibility to upgrade their connection when fibre becomes available in the future.
