Telekom Austria Group has launched a platform for mobile applications called 'Creating Apps'. This will provide developers of all operating systems with the latest information and breaking news about all kinds of systems, application processes and challenges. It will act a groupwide central platform for both customers and developers, with a clear focus on European content. In the coming weeks, the offering will be also rounded off by a forum enabling the exchange of ideas and a Wiki as an up-to-date reference book for developers. Claudia Winkler, Group Chief Marketing Officer Telekom Austria Group, said the new platform was aimed at supporting developers in the creation of applications specifically for the European market. This is because the majority of the around 500,000 mobile apps currently available worldwide target the US and Asian markets.
