Telekom selects Huawei as LTE technology partner
Deutsche Telekom has selected Huawei as its technology partner for upgrading its GSM network and rolling out LTE in Germany. Huawei is delivering ready-to-deploy SingleRAN Multi Technology and Multi Band solutions for the all-IP backhaul transformation. Huawei is also delivering network services to enable an efficient exchange and the installation of the new infrastructure.

Telekom Deutschland completes LTE roll-out in Linsburg

Telekom Deutschland has completed the roll-out of LTE in Lingsburg and its surrounding region as part of its strategy to deploy LTE in more than 1,500 communities around Germany before the end of this year. The network covers Linsburg, Neustadt am Rübenberge, Husum, Landesbergen, Nienburg (Weser) and Stoeckse. Inhabitants of these communities can now order Telekom's Call & Surf via Funk packages.

Telekom continues rural LTE mobile broadband roll-out

Telekom Deutschland has commissioned new LTE base stations in Linsburg (Lower Saxony) and Luetjensee (Schleswig-Holstein). The new base stations will make mobile broadband services available to residents in Linsburg and surrounding areas, such as Neustadt am Ruebenberge, Husum, Landesbergen, Nienburg (Weser) and Stoeckse; and in Luetjensee and surrounding area, including Linau, Groenwohld and Schoenberg. Telekom Deutschland continues LTE network roll-out

Telekom Deutschland is continuing its LTE roll-out across the states of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. It has commissioned new LTE base stations in Kutenholz in Lower Saxony, as well as in Bosau-Hutzfeld and Stelle-Wittenwurth in Schleswig-Holstein. The company plans to have 1,500 LTE base stations across the country by end-2011.
