Telenor launches Firefox OS mobile phones in Serbia
Telenor started selling the Firefox OS-based Alcatel One Touch Fire smartphone in Serbia. Coinciding with the launch in Serbia, Telenor will also launch smartphones powered by Firefox OS in Montenegro and Hungary. Also, Firefox OS phones will soon be launched in Asian markets. At the Mobile World congress in Barcelona earlier this year, Telenor announced the cooperation with Mozilla with the aim of bringing mobile phones on Firefox OS to customers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Telenor Serbia reports 1% growth in Q4 revenues

Telenor Serbia ended the fourth quarter of 2013 with revenues of RSD 10.66 billion, a 1 percent increase compared with the same quarter in 2012. Telenor said ARPU was up 2 percent, helped by migration to postpaid and despite pressure on prepaid prices. Vivo, Mozilla partner on Sao Paulo free Wi-Fi project

Brazilian operator Vivo has teamed up with Mozilla on a project to provide free Wi-Fi internet at bus stops in the city of Sao Paulo, reports UOL. Also taking part in the project are advertising agency DM9DDB and Otima Concessionaria de Exploracao de Mobiliario Urbano, a company responsible for advertising at bus stops in Sao Paulo.
