Teletalk secures 3.5GHz spectrum for 5G launch in Bangladesh

Bangladeshi state-owned operator Teletalk has received 60MHz of spectrum in the 3.5GHz frequency band from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), The Business Standard reports, citing Shahidul Alam, director-general of BTRC's Spectrum Department. Teletalk will use this spectrum to launch 5G services on the local market. The government plans to launch 5G across the country by 2023. The government plans to launch a 5G spectrum auction in December this year.
