Telia Company said it has reached an agreement with NextGenTel to acquire slightly more than 34,000 B2C mobile customers and roughly 4,000 B2C mobile broadband customers. Telia said the deal is expected to close in early 2018 whereas NextGenTel said it was likely to be during June. NextGentel said the purchase price is a minimum of NOK 75 million and a maximum of NOK 95 million, depending on the number of customers actually migrated
The transaction is subject to national regulatory approval. Telia Norway CEO Abraham Foss said the operator saw an opportunity when it realised that NextGenTel wanted to prioritise its B2B segment. NextGenTel said its board had reassessed the company strategy and concluded that the consumer mobile customers were of less strategic importance for its future.
