TeliaSonera launches LTE in Denmark
TeliaSonera launched commercial LTE services in Denmark to customers in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. The roll-out of the Danish LTE network continues and TeliaSonera expects to cover 75 percent of the Danish population in 2011. The consumer price for Telia's LTE service is DKK 399 per month for up to 80Mbps download and 5Mbps upload, with the Samsung GT-B3730 USB modem for DKK 499. That includes 30GB of data use per month. Customers can also take a slower plan at up to 20/1.5Mbps for DKK 299 per month, including 20GB. At present, TeliaSonera offers LTE services to customers in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Over 20 cities in the Nordic countries have LTE from TeliaSonera with speeds of up to ten times higher than 3G.
