Telkom South Africa could cut 3,000 jobs – report

Thursday 16 January 2020 | 09:24 CET | News
South African operator Telkom has told unions it could cut up to 3,000 of its more than 15,000 staff amid declining performance by fixed voice and fixed data services, Reuters reported. Telkom said it will consider voluntary severance and early retirement packages for workers affected by phase one of the job cut, which will affect those at Openserve and the Consumer divisions from January to April.
