
It intends to bring 4G connectivity using the spectrum to more than 1,630 new locations in the medium term, investing a total of COP 3 billion (around USD 750 million), including spectrum acquisition, in the deployment. Tigo-Une will reach close to 200 localities in the short term, expanding urban mobile coverage to over 95 percent, said Cataldo.
The operator had around 11 million mobile customers and 17 percent of the market at the end of September 2019, behind Claro’s 31 million and Movistar’s 16 million.
