Two Norwegian 3G licenses up for sale
Norwegian telecom regulator PT (Samferdselsdepartementet og Post- og teletilsynet) plans to auction two 3G licenses. Interested bidders have until August 29 to submit their bids. The two licenses were already auctioned by means of a beauty contest but Broadband Mobile as well as Tele2 Norge has returned it after reconsidering their 3G strategy. Norway currently has two 3G license holders: incumbent Telenor and Swedish-Finnish TeliaSonera's NetCom.
