UK govt calls for participants in 5G Trans Pennine railway pilot

The UK government has published a call for interested participants in the Trans Pennine Initiative (TPI), which will test ways of providing high-quality and uninterrupted passenger connectivity to trains using 5G. The Trans Pennine railway line runs between Leeds and Manchester. The project is a joint effort between the Local Full Fibre Networks (LFFN) and 5G Testbeds and Trials (5GTT) programmes, in cooperation with Network Rail.
