
Ukrainian state radio frequency centre is expected to issue permits necessary for the launch of LTE services to operators on 30 March, reports BizLigaNet. These apply for services in the 2,600 MHz frequency band, and the operators are expected to deploy LTE networks at the coming weekend.
Mobile operator Kyivstar plans to provide 4G services in the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Uzhgorod, Vinnitsya, Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Lviv initially. They will also become available in border areas in the Lviv and Volin regions, as well as in sea coast resorts in the Odessa and Zaporizhzhya regions.
Vodafone Ukraine will offer LTE services in 28 cities and towns, including Kiev, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzia, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Lutsk, Odessa, and Kherson.
Lifecell has not given a list of cities and towns yet but has announced that it will offer LTE services in major cities.
