UPC Wholesale launches pan-European Local Access Service
UPC Wholesale has launched a pan-European Local Access Service, providing a full end-to-end ethernet service on its own infrastructure that is accessible from major European Telehouses. The new service will allow international wholesale carriers and system providers to do business with one supplier for their local access needs in ten European markets. By connecting all country-networks to one single European fibre network, stretching from Ireland to Romania, more than 200,000 business locations in Europe can be reached. The combined network will be fully managed by Liberty Global's Network Operating Centre, with local engineering teams supporting international carriers. With the new access service, UPC Wholesale will also be able to offer features such as full on-site installation and in-house cabling developed by UPC cablecom in Switzerland, within a one-stop-shop partnering model. UPC Wholesale is the wholesale unit of Liberty Global.
