
US Cellular appoints Meyers as president, CEO

Telephone and Data Systems (TDS) has announced that the board of directors of US Cellular, TDS' publically traded subsidiary, has appointed Kenneth R. Meyers president and chief executive officer, effective 22 June. Meyers has been executive vice president and CFO of TDS. He is a director of US Cellular and TDS. Meyers brings nearly three decades of experience with TDS and US Cellular to the CEO position. He joined US Cellular in 1987 and held several senior management positions, including executive vice president and CFO. Meyers became executive vice president and CFO of TDS in 2007. Mary N. Dillion resigned as president and CEO, and as a director, of US Cellular, effective 21 June, to take a position at ULTA Beauty in July. Dillion joined US Cellular as president and CEO in June 2010, and was previously global chief marketing officer and executive vice president for McDonald's. TDS currently plans to reorganise its CFO function.
