US market loses 7.2 mln pay-TV subscribers in 2020

Traditional pay-TV services in the US lost nearly 7.2 million subscribers in 2020, according to estimates from Kagan. Online services offering a package of live linear channels added around 2.7 million new subscribers last year, but this was not enough to offset the lost customers at cable, telecom and satellite providers.
